Roof-Ex is a family business, owned and operated by Jules Chabot for over 15 years. Our team includes Edmonton and Calgary residential roofers that provide Albertans with a wide range of services for all roofing and repair needs. No matter the size of the project, we take pride in excellent craftsmanship, competitive pricing and our ability to deliver outstanding results every time.

Meet a few of the people you might see at Roof-Ex
Jules Chabot
Owner-operator, Edmonton
Jules grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan before moving to Edmonton for greater opportunities. In the span of 22 years at National Oilwell, an oilfield equipment company, he worked as a labourer, mechanical tech, inventory manager, then facility manager. His experience in these roles include equipment maintenance, maintaining relationships with contractors, and more.
Later in 2011, Jules decided to become an entrepreneur and pave his destiny, resulting in the creation of Roof-Ex. With support from his wife of 33 years, Michelle, and their four lovely children, Roof-Ex has grown and expanded to a well-respected family-owned business that services Edmonton, Calgary, and surrounding areas. Despite the obstacles from the first few years, Roof-Ex has persisted and received help from above, and will continue to offer customers excellent roofing products and services that they can count on.
Mackenzie White
Operations Manager, Calgary
Born and raised in Calgary, Mackenzie has been working in the roofing industry since 2020. Prior to roofing, he spent 5 years in the industrial and commercial construction industry, fabricating steel and building sky scrapers in downtown Calgary.
As Jules' son-in-law, he eventually began working under Jules and learning about roofing alongside him. Envisioning potential in the Calgary roofing market, Mackenzie expanded Roof-Ex's services to his home city. Ever since, Mackenzie has been leading his crew as the head installer, as well as performing quotes and inspections for customers.
Matej Pederson
Sales Representative, Calgary
Matej began roofing with Mackenzie’s crew in 2023. Later on, he began learning about the inner workings of the trade under Jules and Mackenzie, eventually shifting his role to become a sales representative. His tasks include providing quotes, contacting clients, and job coordination, with the occasional site installation too.
Outside of work, you can find Matej performing all kinds of sports, as he spent his teen and early adult years as a high performance speed skater. Fun fact: Matej met Jules through the speed skating community while living in the Edmonton area!
